Knowledge Generation Plan

Educational Program’s Goal
Provide comprehensive artistic and pedagogical training for the application of favorable methods and criteria for quality teaching of the musical, plastic, performing and dance arts, in the basic and upper secondary education levels. It consists of eight periods integrated of seventy-one subjects divided into basic, disciplinary and professional training.

Graduate Profile
- Capacity for oral, written and symbolic communication
- Basic skills for the practice of musical, plastic, performing and dance arts.
- Comprehensive training to apply favorable methods and criteria for teaching musical, visual, performing and dance arts at the basic and upper secondary education levels.
- Wide and critical humanistic training that allows understanding the artistic diversity of Mexico and the world
- Artistic criteria for the development of innovative musical proposals.
- Ability to carry out research work in the educational arts field
- Artistic criteria and leadership for the development of innovative educational proposals.
- Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary groups with work ethic and social responsibility.

General Admission Requirements
- Completed High School Studies
- The applicant from a Baccalaureate external to the FMA must take a propaedeutic course and pass the admission exam to the Bachelor of Arts Education (LEA)
- The graduate of the University General Bachelor with Emphasis in Music and Art (BGUEMA) of the UAT Faculty of Music and Arts can enter automatically.
- All applicants accepted to enter the LEA program must submit the CENEVAL exam.
- Documentation: Official legalized High School certificate; Updated birth certificate; CURP; 10 (4x4) photographs.
