Knowledge Generation Plan

Educational Program’s Goal
Provide a comprehensive musical training with a focus on quality instrumental performance, providing the necessary tools to develop theoretical, technical and creative skills to achieve optimal performance as an instrumentalist, arranger or music producer. It consists of eight periods integrated by sixty-four subjects divided into basic, disciplinary and professional. The instrumental academic offer includes: violin, viola, violoncello, double bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, saxophone, clarinet, transverse flute, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn, piano, singing and percussions.

- Basic knowledge and skills for musical practice and instrumental performance
- Basic knowledge and skills for the management of information and communication technologies applied to music
- Study and learning habits methods
- Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary groups with work ethic and social responsibility

Graduate Profile
- Capacity for oral, written and symbolic communication
- Technical, theoretical and creative competence in musical expression as the basis for possible performance as an instrumentalist, arranger or music producer
- Proficiencies for the management of information and communication technologies applied to the profession
- Wide and critical humanistic training that allows understanding the artistic diversity of Mexico and the world
- Artistic criteria for the development of innovative musical proposals.
- Ability to carry out research work in the musical area
- Creativity, quality and leadership to generate new ideas
- Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary groups with work ethic and social responsibility

General Admission Requirements
- Accredit the University General Bachelor with Emphasis in Music and Art (BGUEMA) or the University Superior Technician in Music (TSUM) UAT Faculty of Music and Arts
- The applicant with a Baccalaureate other than BMA or BGUEMA must accredit the TSUM program.
- The BMA, BGUEMA or TSUM graduate will have the possibility of automatically entering the LM program
- The applicant with a Baccalaureate other than BMA or BGUEMA may submit a general knowledge and skills exam where they must demonstrate the level comparable to the contents of the TSUM's musical subjects. If the applicant does not pass the general knowledge and skills exam, they must take the TSUM program
- All students accepted to enter the LM program must take the CENEVAL exam
